The City Manager is responsible for coordinating, administering, and supervising the implementation of all policies, decisions, and directives established by the Mayor and Council. The office develops operational objectives, policies, and programs necessary for the efficient administration of city government. In addition, the office oversees personnel administration functions such as employee recruitment, workers’ compensation, and benefits administration. The City Manager also supervises the preparation and administration of business licenses, alcohol licenses, accounts payable and receivable, payroll operations, and other administrative services. The City Manager also represents the City of Jonesboro at the local and state levels, fostering partnerships and advocating for the community. The City Manager also serves as Executive Director of the Jonesboro Downtown Development Authority, supporting economic development initiatives and downtown revitalization efforts.
