The City of Jonesboro's Zoning Division works diligently with residents, businesses and community leaders to shape the appearance and urban development of the City. As result of these efforts, Jonesboro provides for safe residential neighborhoods and sustainable economic growth.
The Zoning Division is responsible for the maintenance and update of the City's Comprehensive Plan, Zoning and Sign Ordinances, and the City's Short-Range Planning Initiatives. The Division also serves as support to City Council, while providing reports, presentations and recommendations on Text Amendments, Map Amendments, and Annexation Request.
The City of

Plan outlines a framework for the development the city, recognizing the
physical, economic, social, political, aesthetic and related factors of a
community.
