PUBLIC HEARING MINUTES

170 SOUTH MAIN STREET

OCTOBER 11TH, 2010

 

The City of Jonesboro Mayor and Council held a Public Hearing for Public Comments related to the proposed 2010 Millage rate. The Public Hearing was held October 11th, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. at the Jonesboro Police Station, 170 South Main Street Jonesboro, Georgia.

 

Council Present:        Luther Maddox, Mayor

                                    Clarence Mann, Councilmember

                                    Bobby Wiggins Councilmember

                                    Wallace Norrington, Councilmember

                                    Joe Compton, Councilmember

                                    Roger Grider, Councilmember

                                    Pat Sebo, Councilmember

 

Staff Present:    Janice Truhan- City Clerk, Sandra Meyers- Finance Officer, Chief Franklin Allen and Joe Nettleton – Public Works Director.

 

Mayor Maddox called the Hearing to order. 

 

The Mayor explained that this was the third in a series of three hearings held regarding the 2010 Millage rate proposed at two (2) Mills.  Mayor Maddox called for Public Comments.

 

Public Comments were made by Mrs. Nancy Coffman, Mr. Billy Powell, Carl Hilton,

Mr. Mitchell and one individual who did not identify himself – business owners.

 

The Mayor closed the Public Hearing.
