CALLED COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES

January 28, 2009

The City of Jonesboro Mayor and Council held a Called Council meeting on Wednesday, January 28, 2009. The meeting was held at 10:00 a.m. at the Jonesboro Police Station, 170 South Main Street Jonesboro, Georgia.

Council Present: Rick Yonce, Mayor Pro Tem

Bobby Wiggins, Councilmember

Clarence Mann, Councilmember

Roger Grider, Councilmember

Wallace Norrington, Councilmember - absent

Billy Powell, Councilmember

Luther Maddox, Mayor - absent

Staff Present: Chief Brad Johnson, Joe Nettleton, and Janice Truhan

Mayor Pro Tem Yonce called the meeting to order at 10:02 a.m.

Mayor Pro Tem Yonce called for a motion considering a new furnace for 173 Cloud Street.

Discussion ensued regarding the theft of the copper piping and the projected date of completion at that location. Motion made to accept Bowen and Sons bid (of the three submitted) at $3,450.00. Approved. [Motion: Grider, 2^nd: Powell, Vote: Unanimous].

Considered motion to adjourn. Approved. [Motion: Grider, 2^nd:Mann, Vote: Unanimous].
