CITY OF JONESBORO

CALLED COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES

DECEMBER 3rd, 2009

The City of Jonesboro Mayor and Council held a Called Council meeting for the purposes of Executive Session to discuss personnel matters; and to vote on matters discussed in Executive Session. The meeting was held at 170 South Main Street Jonesboro.

Council Present: Luther Maddox, Mayor

Clarence Mann, Councilmember

Roger Grider, Councilmember

Billy Powell, Councilmember

Rick Yonce, Councilmember

Bobby Wiggins, Councilmember

Wallace Norrington, Councilmember

Staff Present: Janice Truhan – City Clerk

Mayor Maddox called the meeting to order.

The Council considered the following items 1 - 6 on the Agenda:

1. Considered motion to enter Executive Session for the purpose of discussing personnel

matters. Approved. [Motion: Norrington, 2^nd: Yonce, Vote: Unanimous].

2. Considered motion to resume Regular Meeting. Approved. [Motion: Mann, 2^nd: Powell,

Vote: Unanimous]

3. Considered motion to vote on matters discussed in Executive session. Motion made to

appoint Major Tim Jessup as Chief of Police. Approved. [Motion: Mann, 2^nd: Norrington,

Vote: Unanimous].

4. Considered Motion to adjourn. Approved. [Motion: Grider, 2^nd: Norrington, Vote:

Unanimous].
