COUNCIL MEETING The City of Jonesboro Mayor and Council held a CALLED MEETING on Monday, August 15, 2005. The meeting was held at 170 South Main Street at 6:00 pm. Members present: Council member Yvette McDonald Council member Wallace Norrington Council member Clifford Sewell Council member Rick Yonce Council member Linda Wenz Mayor Joy B. Day Staff present: Kathryn Lookofsky, DDA Jim Roberts, Interim Police Chief Jon Walker, City Manager Mayor Day advised council that she will be asking for a motion to amend the agenda to include an Executive Session to discuss pending litigation. ZONING ORDINANCE: Councilwoman Wenz made a motion to adopt the Zoning Ordinance 05-08 as presented. Councilman Norrington seconded. The motion carried unanimously. SIGN ORDINANCE: Councilwoman McDonald made a motion to adopt the Sign Ordinance 05-09 as presented. Councilwoman Wenz seconded the motion. The motion carried unanimously. (See Ord. Bk One, Pg 75) DEVELOPMENT REGULATIONS: Councilman Norrington made a motion to adopt the Development Regulations Ordinance 05-10 as presented. Councilwoman McDonald seconded. The motion carried unanimously. (See Ord. Bk One, Pg 76) OFFICIAL ZONING MAP: Councilwoman McDonald made a motion to adopt the Official Zoning Map as presented. Councilwoman Wenz seconded. The motion carried unanimously. THOROUGH FARES: Councilman Norrington made a motion to adopt the Thorough Fare Plan as presented. Councilwoman McDonald seconded. The motion carried unanimously. ANNOUNCEMENTS: Mayor Day reminded everyone about the upcoming Southampton Pops Concert, the Barbeque at the Old Jail, the Duck Derby coming on September 17th and the City Wide Yard Sale. EXECUTIVE SESSION: Mayor Day asked council for a motion to go into Executive Session to discuss pending litigation. Councilman Norrington motioned to go into Executive Session, Councilman Yonce seconded. The motion carried unanimously. Councilman Norrington made a motion to resume Regular Session. Councilman Yonce seconded. The motion carried unanimously. ADJOURN: There being no further business, Councilwoman McDonald made a motion to adjourn. Councilman Norrington seconded.
