This information is also on your citation(s). Make sure however that you have received the correct total from us beforehand. PAYMENT MUST BE A MONEY ORDER. I was involved in an accident, and I need to get a copy of the accident report, how do I do this? Once an Officer writes an accident report, it takes approximately 3 working days to fully process the report. It can be picked up at Police Headquarters - 8:00am - 4:30pm. It can also be mailed. . .send a self addressed, stamped envelope with cover letter stating the date, time, location, driver's name, and any other information pertaining to the accident to the following address. . . .
(There is a $2.00 service fee, payable by cash, certified check, or money order. Please DO NOT send cash through the mail) Should I report suspicious activity in my neighborhood? The police department depends on citizens calling to report suspicious activity. The dispatcher who takes your call will ask questions about the activity to determine its nature and ask for details. You do not have to give your name or address if you desire. You may remain anonymous if you desire. If you would like to report suspicious activity please call NON-EMERGENCY dispatch at 770-471-4242. Why does it sometimes take longer for the police to arrive when I call them? All requests for police services are assigned a priority based on the seriousness of the incident and the potential for injury or damage to property. At times, calls that are less urgent must be delayed so that we can respond immediately to emergencies.
